1Introduction

Mrs Khan's Matrimonial Services Limited (SC864954) takes its safeguarding obligations with the utmost seriousness. This policy sets out our commitments and procedures to protect all users and in particular to prevent any access to, or harm of, children and vulnerable adults through our platform.

Our service is strictly for adults aged 18 and over. We operate a zero-tolerance policy toward any content, communication, or conduct that could endanger or exploit any person, of any age.

2Our Safeguarding Commitments

  • We verify the age of all registering members as part of our onboarding process;
  • We actively monitor the platform for signs of grooming, exploitation, coercion, or trafficking;
  • We maintain a clear and accessible reporting mechanism for safeguarding concerns;
  • We cooperate fully with statutory agencies, including Police Scotland, the National Crime Agency, and child protection services;
  • All staff handling member data receive safeguarding awareness training;
  • We review and update this policy annually.

3Child Safeguarding & CSAM Prevention

Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) is illegal and abhorrent. We have a zero-tolerance policy:

  • No person under the age of 18 may register or use our services under any circumstances;
  • Any uploaded content is subject to review; content depicting or referencing minors in any inappropriate manner will be removed immediately and reported to the Internet Watch Foundation (IWF) and relevant law enforcement;
  • Any user found to have uploaded, shared, or requested CSAM will be permanently banned and immediately reported to Police Scotland and the NCA;
  • We do not store, cache, or retain any CSAM content; it is deleted and reported on discovery.

4Protecting Vulnerable Adults

We recognise that matrimonial platforms can attract individuals who seek to exploit vulnerable people. Our protective measures include:

  • Training staff to identify indicators of coercion, forced marriage, or financial exploitation;
  • Providing clear guidance to members on safe communication practices;
  • Maintaining a confidential reporting line for members who feel unsafe;
  • Referring concerns about forced marriage to the Forced Marriage Unit (FMU) and relevant authorities.

If you have a safeguarding concern about yourself or another person please contact us immediately:

  • Email: mrskhanmatrimonial@gmail.com (mark subject: SAFEGUARDING URGENT);
  • Emergency: Call 999 (UK Police) if there is immediate danger;
  • Non-emergency Police: Call 101;
