Introduction
Profile integrity is fundamental to the trust and safety of our matrimonial service. Mrs Khan's Matrimonial Services Limited (SC864954) operates a multi-stage identity and profile verification process for all members.
This policy should be read alongside our Anti-Fraud, Impersonation & Misrepresentation Policy β which contains the full technical detail of our verification procedures in Section 3 ("Verification During Registration") β and our Age Verification / 18+ Policy.
1Verification During Registration
All new members undergo the following verification checks at registration:
- Email Verification: A verification link is sent to the provided email address; registration is not completed until this link is clicked;
- Mobile Verification: Where a mobile number is provided, an SMS confirmation may be required;
- Age Declaration: Users confirm they are 18+ in accordance with our Age Verification Policy;
- Profile Information Review: Submitted profile information is reviewed by our team for consistency, completeness, and plausibility;
- Photo Review: Profile photographs are manually reviewed to detect stock images, AI-generated images, or images associated with known fraudulent profiles.
2Ongoing Identity Monitoring
Identity verification is not a one-time event. We continuously monitor profiles for:
- Inconsistencies between stated information and communications;
- Reported concerns from other members;
- Unusual account activity or access patterns;
- Profile images appearing on known fraud databases or reverse image searches.
3Enhanced Verification Requests
In cases where we have reasonable grounds for concern, we may request enhanced verification including:
- A government-issued photo ID (passport or driving licence);
- Proof of address (utility bill or bank statement dated within 3 months);
- A live video verification call with a member of our team.
Failure to provide requested verification within the specified timeframe will result in account suspension pending review.
4Fake Profiles & Impersonation
Creating a fake profile or impersonating another person is a serious breach of our Terms & Conditions and may constitute a criminal offence under the Fraud Act 2006. Such conduct will result in immediate and permanent account termination and referral to law enforcement.
For full details of our anti-fraud procedures, warning signs, and reporting process, see our Anti-Fraud, Impersonation & Misrepresentation Policy.
